Brauerei Kürzer
The Brauerei Kürzer is the young newcomer among Düsseldorf's house breweries and brings a fresh wind to the Old Town. The Kürzer Alt brewed here is served in small glasses at an open counter, often faster and more relaxed than at the traditional houses. The ambience is modern, uncomplicated and tailored to a young crowd. With it come small savoury dishes that go well with the sociable standing service.
Young Kürzer Alt
The Kürzer Alt is made in one of the youngest house breweries in the city and is served freshly tapped at an open counter. In taste it sits pleasantly balanced between mild and bitter and thus appeals to guests not yet so familiar with Altbier. The service runs relaxed and quick, very much in the spirit of the lively standing-bar concept.
A Modern Concept
Unlike its tradition-rich neighbours, the Kürzer goes for a modern, uncomplicated ambience and a young, relaxed crowd. Instead of long menus there are small savoury snacks and platters that go well with the sociable standing service. The concept is deliberately pared back and geared towards drinking and chatting together.
A Lively Old Town Location
The brewery lies in the heart of the Old Town and slots into the dense pub landscape of the longest bar in the world. Especially in the evening and at the weekend the standing area fills up quickly with a young crowd. A reservation is not provided for; the place lives on passing trade and the relaxed mood of the standing bar.
